Who Are We ?
Unlike many bustling specialty medical practices, we are quite
small. Care is provided by one physician and one registered nurse. This is no
accident. We've created a quiet and personal setting that allows us to
spend more time with patients and avoid the frenetic pace often encountered
these days We specialize in digestive tract problems, liver diseases, and cancer prevention. David Schneiderman, MD, FACP
has practiced gastroenterology in Sacramento since 1988. He received his
training at the University of California, San Francisco and is board certified
in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. In addition to his clinical
practice, Dr. Schneiderman participates in clinical research, serves as a
reviewing consultant for the Medical Board of California, and volunteers for the American
Cancer Society on their colon cancer prevention initiative.
He recently completed a 2 year term as the
Vice-Chairman, Department of Medicine, Mercy San Juan Hospital, and a 4 year
term on the Medicine Executive Committee at the same institution. Jeri Rosatelli, RN, a graduate of San Francisco
State University, is
certified by the Association of Operating Room Nurses and has received advanced
training in intravenous sedation for endoscopic procedures. She has specialized
in the care of gastroenterology patients since 1997.

Our Schedule?
In general, we see patients in the office three to four days per week. This is subject to minor
variations of course. Our office is staffed 9am to 4pm Monday through Thursday,
but we are available 24/7. Evening office hours are available a few times every
month, but the dates vary based upon the availability.
About Your Consultation:
If you are a new patient to our office, expect your initial visit to last
approximately 45 minutes. Most of this time is allocated to the consultation,
but registration and medical history forms will need to be completed as well. If
you would like to complete them at home prior to your visit,
both printable pdf and interactive online
HTML versions are available.
Remember, if you are applying for Easy Access
Colonoscopy, the medical history form is different than the pre-consultation
form.
About Your Procedure:
If you have been scheduled for, or are
considering an exam or diagnostic study offered through our office,
educational materials and pre-examination instructions
are available for your review. These include photographs and other images
(including video). The Greater Sacramento Surgery Center (GSSC) requires a
separate registration form and brief medical history. These forms are available
in our office or can be
downloaded and printed from the surgery center's website.
Our Library:
Clicking
on the library
should direct you to what
we consider the best gastroenterologic and hepatic educational sites on the web.
Email:
Patients may
email us with general
administrative questions about appointments for the office or for examinations.
Both requests for scheduling or cancellations are welcome if your requests are
not urgent BUT these postings are not as frequently checked as are telephone
messages. Existing patients should not use email to ask us about prescription
refills or ask a question about your medical condition since a) we may not check
this email daily and b) privacy issues for electronic transmission of medical
information have not yet been resolved.
Clinical Research:
We are affiliated with a few outstanding clinical research centers here in
Sacramento. All are involved in evaluating new treatments for esophageal, stomach and intestinal
disorders prior to final FDA approval. All testing and medications are
provided free of charge. Additionally, volunteer subjects are compensated
for their time and level of participation. Please call or
email for information about
active clinical trials that are accepting volunteers.
